In June 2026, Talent-CGT brought together 39 educators for two Teach-the-Teacher workshops in Lisbon and Porto, focused on bringing current cell and gene therapy knowledge into the classroom.
Across the two one-day workshops, participants explored key CGT topics, practical teaching approaches and ways to make complex scientific content more accessible to students. The sessions also created space for educators from different institutions to exchange experiences, questions and ideas.
The workshops strengthened Talent-CGT’s growing educator network and created a new collaboration with Escola Superior de Saúde de Lisboa. Participants particularly valued the collaborative atmosphere and the opportunity to learn from both experts and fellow educators, with many expected to bring elements of the training into their own teaching practice.
The Portugal workshops build on Talent-CGT’s wider goal of helping educators keep pace with a rapidly developing field and making CGT education easier to adopt and reuse across institutions.
